This Yield Stress Model allows data to be fitted to the following model:
with σy the yield stress and η the Newtonian viscosity.
Use this model to emulate materials that have a yield stress, but are Newtonian at stresses greater than the yield stress. Yield stress is calculated by relating shear stress to shear rate.
To model a more gradual transition from the Newtonian to the yield stress region, use the Casson yield stress model.
